2021 Would be the greatest year for IRO UTM, this year Trunojoyo University Madura announced that received a scholarship program that called Erasmus+ Mobility with a partner university, Palacky University, Czech Republic. This scholarship provides an opportunity for international students to be able to study at various universities in the European Union where students cannot apply personally or directly to the university in Europe. It means that students must be nominated by the home university. UTM students can register at the campus International Relations Office or IRO which is led by Imron Wakhid Harits, Ph. D. Erasmus+ Mobility opens the same as the partner university’s academic year which means twice a year. This program certainly has requirements that must be met such as having a foreign language certificate such as TOEFL ITP with a minimum score of 500 or equivalent to a CEFR B2 score, making study plan essay, making motivation letter, and interviewing. In addition, Erasmus+ Mobility is only allowed for students starting from semester 5. The scholarship scope includes travel costs, accommodation and tuition. Students do not need to worry about costs because everything is borne by the partner university.

Nicki Indah Permatasari is one of the English Department students nominated for this program. According to Nicki, the most difficult and challenging thing at the selection stage is when she did a foreign test or TOEFL. This was the first time she felt it. Beside the price is expensive, a score of 500 is sometimes difficult to get for the first time testing. This did not dampen her enthusiasm to be able to study in Europe. Moreover, according to her, she was able to get this nomination because she is an English Department student which can help her when studying abroad, especially in the language aspect. According to her, being able to speak in international languages is the main key to being able to mobilize anywhere and to get interesting and new experiences.
